Will Governor Walz Spare Vikings Fans From Attending Their Games?

The Minneapolis Star Tribune recently reported that Governor Tim Walz will be the one making the decision whether to allow limited in-person attendance of Vikings games this season. The question remains, will he spare them the humiliation?

Unlike the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings are not having a good season. Last Sunday saw the team walloped by the Atlanta Falcons, who had not won a game yet this season. The loss brought the Vikings record to 1-5 on the year, prompting many Vikings fans to switch from being excited about the current season, to dreaming of not screwing up the draft, for a change.

According to the Strib:

“In a statement to the Star Tribune, Walz spokesman Teddy Tschann said: “As a high school football coach of 20 years, Gov. Walz is eager to get back in the stands. But as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Minnesota, we know that large gatherings continue to pose a threat to Minnesotans.”

Who knows if it will ever be safe enough to go to U.S. Bank Stadium ever again? Will anyone even want to go?
