New OLA report on autism kickbacks
The state Office of Legislative Auditor (OLA) published a new report today under the title,
Department of Human Services:
Investigations of Alleged Kickbacks in the Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention Program
That’s the autism Medicaid program, where the state pays unlicensed providers of autism therapy services. You will recall that some defendants accused of defrauding the program are also accused of paying kickbacks to parents of patients involved in the scheme.
