80th Feeding Our Future defendant charged
Mahamoud Warsame has become the 80th individual charged in the years-long Feeding Our Future fraud scandal.
I first wrote about Warsame, his company Metro Area Catering, his nonprofit, and their role in the case back in June 2022, more than four years ago. KARE 11 noticed last week that he had been added as the newest defendant in the case,
New suspect charged in Feeding Our Future scheme allegedly defrauded $4 million+
The case was filed last week (Case No. 26-cr-135) and charges Warsame with one count of felony wire fraud.
As I reported back in 2022, Warsame was one of about a dozen or so individuals linked to the fraud scandal who donated to the political campaign of state Sen. Omar Fateh (D-Minneapolis).
Warsame is scheduled to enter a guilty plea tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30) in the case.
