American Experiment Submits Comments Urging Repeal of the Clean Power Plan

American Experiment has submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency supporting the efforts of the current administration to rescind carbon dioxide standards for existing electric generation, commonly referred to the Clean Power Plan.

The Clean Power Plan would have required Minnesota to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions per megawatt hour of electricity produced by 41.7 percent below 2012 levels by the year 2030.

American Experiment argues these reductions would have been largely achieved by using more renewable energy, primarily wind, which has been an expensive failure in Minnesota.

These comments, as amended on April 27th, can be viewed by clicking below. America Experiment’s comments will be visible online after the Environmental Protection Agency reviews the document.
