America’s Young Betrayed

Age ain’t nothing but a number, right? Tell that to 25-year-olds who can’t believe they still live at home.

As the newest Policy Fellow at the Center of the American Experiment, I recorded a radio ad last week that sheds light on this reality.

Millennials, myself included, view our twenties as our prime years. Unfortunately, this supposed “golden age” of life is threatened by liberal policies that impair our ability to flourish. Limited job opportunities, unaffordable health care, and a costly housing market jeopardize our chances at success.

But somehow liberal bureaucrats who put these roadblocks in place still convince my generation to vote against ourselves and our future. Diana Furchtgott-Roth from the Manhattan Institute calls it betrayal. In her book Disinherited: How Washington Is Betraying America’s YoungDiana focuses on why today’s millennials have lower prospects than any other generation of Americans.

Center of the American Experiment will host a lunch forum on Wednesday, February 22nd featuring Diana and her book. Students interested in attending will receive complimentary admission and can RSVP by calling 612-584-4559. All other attendees can register here
