Presented by the Mankato Chapter of Center of the American Experiment

Rising crime is a major concern for most Minnesotans, but what can community members do about it?

Join Center of the American Experiment for a presentation and panel discussion on Tuesday, September 27th led by law enforcement leaders and crime experts.

This presentation will cover current crime trends, an overview of the criminal justice system, the role of key officials in fighting crime, and proven strategies to reduce crime. Because fighting crime is primarily a local, community-based endeavor, attendees will learn what they can do to build a strong relationship of mutual trust between law enforcement agencies and their community, a critical step to maintaining public safety and effective policing.

Expected panelists:

  • Captain Paul Barta- Blue Earth County Sheriffs Department
  • Sheriff Dave Lange- Nicollet County Sheriff
  • Pat McDermott- Blue Earth County Attorney
  • Jeff Wersal- Commander Minnesota Valley Drug Task Force
