Running for office in Minnesota? Join American Experiment on Tuesday, July 26 for a one-day issue bootcamp at Vadnais Heights Commons.

What’s the fastest growing part of the state budget?

What’s the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?

What do “weighted average daily members” have to do with school funding?

If nuclear is the cleanest source of energy, why isn’t it counted toward our renewable energy goals?

As you knock on doors and participate in debates, the answers to these questions and more will make you sound like a seasoned veteran. The American Experiment Issues Bootcamp will provide legislative candidates with a basic understanding of how state government works through presentations on education, the state budget, healthcare, energy and public safety. This one-day school will give you confidence during the 2022 campaign and get you ready for your seat at the governing table next January.

The Issues Bootcamp is non-partisan and open to candidates of all political parties. Your opponent will probably attend, so don’t miss out and fall behind!

Your instructors are the policy fellows from Minnesota’s Think Tank, Center of the American Experiment, all experts in their fields. The lunch program will feature a survey of Minnesota attitudes and beliefs from American Experiment’s quarterly polling.

Cost is $35, includes lunch. Campaign schools like the Issues Bootcamp are an allowable non-campaign expenditure from your campaign funds. The school is limited to candidates filed to run in the 2022 election
