Wind companies are descending upon rural areas along the Minnesota and Iowa border to secure land easements before federal subsidies expire. To date, “Southern Hills Wind” has signed up 13 parcels in their project zone in this area.
With high-pressure land acquisition specialists circling the area, it has never been more important for locals to understand the impact that wind and solar have on the reliability and affordability of Minnesota’s electric grid.
Join Isaac Orr of Center of the American Experiment as he discusses the findings of his award winning research Doubling Down on Failure, How a 50 Percent by 2030 Renewable Energy Standard Would Cost Minnesota $80.2 Billion.
