Keeping the lights on in America: Looking ahead at power grid reliability

On May 17, The Heritage Foundation hosted Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioner James Danly to dig into the details of what we know about power grid reliability as the Biden administration imposes several new regulations that will strain the electric grid by shutting down coal and natural gas-fired power plants.

Commissioner Danly and Heritage Foundation Fellow Travis Fisher also discuss what we can do to ensure grid reliability for decades to come. What resources are needed? What are the best market structures to ensure reliability? Are we acting on the recommendations from reliability experts?
