COVID-19 quickly disrupted our day to day life, leading many of us to Google in search of tips, tricks and workarounds to address boredom and help us make the most out of the quarantine period of the coronavirus. Zippia.com decided to analyze Google trends data from April 2020 to August 2020 to find out “the most interesting thing each state was googling more than any other state during quarantine.”
We searched hundreds of terms ranging from outdoor activities to DIY, copious foods and drinks, self-improvement…and not self-improvement. Interesting is subjective, selected based on what we thought was the most fun. Your opinion may vary.
Check out the map below for every state’s most interesting Google search over the last five months. Many are quite amusing but some are just downright concerning. (Uh, Missouri, I think you have a problem—meth recipes?!)
