Center of the American Experiment continues to fight the expensive and unreliable energy mandates passed by liberal lawmakers in St. Paul in 2022 and their allies in the utility industry and in the wind and solar advocacy space.
These interest groups want to force Minnesota families and businesses to pay more than $1.14 billion for a transmission line used to connect more unreliable wind and solar facilities to the grid after they finish their ill-advised closure of the coal plants in Becker, Minnesota.
Happily, 2,256 Minnesotans signed our petition telling the PUC that they oppose this transmission line because it will increase costs for consumers and reduce reliability relative to keeping the coal plants operating.
