The Thatcher Revolution at 40
Forty years ago this month, the Conservative party won the British general election and Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister. She remained in office until November 1990 and during her 11 years in office, she took a country which had been falling apart in the 1970s and put it back on its feet.
