Report: MN serious crime rate higher than national average for first time in state history

Center of the American Experiment has released it’s 2022 Minnesota crime briefing. You can read it here.

The policy briefing includes confirmed 2021 BCA uniform crime report stats and many 2022 estimates based on year-to-date activity. It also highlights the troubling correlation between our increasing crime rate and our dramatically decreasing incarceration rate.

The key take away is that for the first time in our history, Minnesota’s crime rate has risen above the national average (defined as Part 1 most serious offenses).

Minnesota is officially a high crime state.

This briefing is being released in support of our campaign to highlight the seriousness of our public safety issues in Minnesota. You can learn more about Minnesota’s crime problem and sign our petition to end this lawlessness here.
