Keith Ellison story has legs

Since American Experiment first ran our exclusive story on the leaked Keith Ellison/Feeding Our Future audio recording from December 2021, the scandal within a scandal is beginning to pick up some momentum.

We’ve already noted Fox 9’s report Thursday night on the tape, which prompted a statement from Keith Ellison himself.

Now Lou Raguse of KARE-11 is out with his report. KARE-11 obtained a longer statement from the AG’s office reprinted here. This version blames the whole kerfuffle on some group called the Center for the American Experiment, whoever they are.

WCCO also appears to have aired a report on Friday night. The St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper published a lengthy piece on the growing controversy.

The Washington Free Beacon filed a piece on the Ellison involvement.

Keith Ellison posted a selfie photo on November 2, 2021, that depicts himself, his son Jeremiah Ellison (MPLS city council member), and a group associated with the Dar Al-Farooq mosque in Bloomington.

On Election Day 2021, Jeremiah narrowly prevailed in his re-election bid in a seven-way ranked-choice voting race.

None of the people shown above have been accused of any wrongdoing in the free-food scandal. The individuals shown above are believed to include. Keith Ellison, Jeremiah Ellison, Abdirizak Diis, Mohamed Omar, Mahad Hassan, Khalid Omar, and Abshir Omar.

Of the above, K. Ellison, Mohamad Omar, Mahad Hassan and Abshir Omar are believed to have been at the meeting and can be heard on the recording.

Nine days after (Dec. 20, 2021) the Ellison/FOF meeting, the two received campaign contributions from a number of people associated with the scandal.
