ICE agent injured in previous assault

From the New York Post,

ICE agent who opened fire on Renee Good was dragged, hospitalized by illegal migrant driver last year.

The Post reports,

The ICE agent who opened fire in Minneapolis Wednesday was dragged 100 yards by an illegal migrant in Minnesota last June after his arm was trapped inside the vehicle during a traffic stop,

News outlets have named the ICE agent as Jonathan Ross. The perpetrator in that June 2025 incident was Roberto Carlos Munoz Guatemala. Despite his name, Munoz is a Mexican citizen. The June incident occurred in Bloomington.

Munoz was convicted in a jury trial held last month. His sentencing date has not yet been set.

Munoz has a prior felony conviction for criminal sexual conduct. The victim was his 16-year-old stepdaughter.

These are the kinds of situations encountered by ICE agents every day in Minnesota.

Munoz was the original Minnesota Man inspiring my long-running series. He took Man of the Week Honors last month following the jury conviction.

Your correspondent attended an early court hearing for Munoz back in June. I was the only reporter in attendance. I reported at the time,

Munoz, a Mexican citizen, required a Spanish-language interpreter for this hearing and did not speak a single word of English.

I have written on the Munoz case numerous times. It turns out that multi-billion-dollar fraud isn’t the only underreported story in Minnesota.
