Edina bus stop murder suspect Adam Garcia makes initial court appearance
Bail was set at $1 million on the single charge of 2nd-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Christian Hans Lundegaard on Thanksgiving Eve.
His next court appearance on the murder charge is scheduled for December 29. Today, he was granted a public defender.
Garcia’s Monday appearance (Nov. 27) in Hennepin County court did not involve the murder charge from last week. Instead, the Monday hearing was to clear a backlog of ten (10) unrelated criminal cases that had piled up after Garcia missed no fewer than fourteen (14) court dates in 2023.
He was convicted in four of the cases (misdemeanors), five cases were dismissed, and the tenth held over until late January.
