Join Opportunity for All Kids and Center of the American Experiment for the inaugural 7k for Kids Fun Run on Saturday, September 20th in Minnetonka. There will be a raffle drawing for a $7,000 scholarship toward the K-12 private school of your choice to promote the ongoing $7k for Kids campaign for a Minnesota Education Savings Account (ESA). This family-friendly event includes several ways to participate:
– 7k run for serious runners (go the extra mile for kids!)
– Traditional 5k turnaround for runners, walkers and kids in strollers
– Zero-mile fun run* for the rest of us!
Registration fee is just $25 for participants 13 and older and $15 for kids 12 and under (until 9/10). All 5k and 7k participants will receive a race t-shirt and refreshments before and after the run. T-shirt size is guaranteed if you register by September 10.
Race begins at 9:20 am (9:20 on 9/20).

8:20-9:10AM Check-in
9:10AM Announcements, National Anthem and prayer
9:20AM 7k and 5k race begins
9:30AM Zero-mile fun run begins
9:30-11:30AM $7k scholarship raffle drawing, face painting, inflatables, visit from Minnetonka Police, food and fun!

Raffle rules:
- The raffle for a $7,000 scholarship for a student currently enrolled in a private school in Minnesota will be held during the 7k for Kids Fun Run on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
- Raffle ticket sales will open at 8:20 am and will close at 10:45 am. The drawing will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 20, 2025.
- Tickets are $10 each, with a maximum purchase of five tickets per person. (purchaser must be present – no proxy sales)
- Tickets will be sold exclusively on site during the 7k for Kids Fun Run at 12600 Whitewater Drive, Minnetonka, MN 55343.
- Must be 18 years old or older to purchase a raffle ticket.
- Purchaser must designate a student currently enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade in a private school in Minnesota as the beneficiary of the scholarship.
- Employees and family members of Center of the American Experiment and Opportunity for All Kids are ineligible for the raffle.
