Home is where the heart is
Artemio Martin-Martin of Guatemala pled guilty yesterday to the felony crime of illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien in federal court in downtown St. Paul. He had previously been deported in 2018.

I wrote about Martin back in February and his colorful history of drunk driving cases. He participated in the Fast Track program and will now be deported, again, back to Guatemala.
His defense attorney tells the court that Martin has plans to return to the agricultural industry back in his native San Marcos, Guatemala.
Vaya Con Dios, Artemio!
Also appearing in federal court yesterday was one Roberto Gadiel León López.

He is charged with “transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.” Yikes! The charges are out of the federal district of Puerto Rico.
At yesterday’s hearing, a consular notice was read into the record, indicating that he is not a U.S. citizen.
It appears that he will be returning to Puerto Rico to face justice.
