Tackling Homelessness
As the Director of Housing Stability for Hennepin County, David Hewitt’s ambitious goal is to make homelessness in the Twin Cities rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
On April 20, 2023, Hewitt shared some of the county’s efforts to address homelessness, identifying and explaining the many complexities involved in this issue. Attendees of the lunch forum heard key statistics, learned about the impact of COVID on the homeless population, and asked Mr. Hewitt a number of questions.
