Understanding Minnesota’s Crime Problem
Rising crime is a major concern for most Minnesotans, and rightfully so. In 2020 Minnesota became a high crime state for the first time in our history, and trendlines suggest we need to make changes to our current public safety approach if we want to reverse course.
American Experiment public safety policy fellow David Zimmer spoke to a live online audience about these concerning trends on Tuesday, September 13th. Mr. Zimmer, a 33-year veteran Hennepin County law enforcement officer, presented the latest statistics and trends regarding crime and the criminal justice system in Minnesota and closed with questions from the audience.
