As John Phelan noted last night, he and I spent yesterday in Washington, D.C., where I testified before the Joint Economic Committee of Congress on the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on Minnesota’s economy. John posted the written testimony that we supplied to the committee.
Here you can see the entire hearing, presided over by the committee’s Chairman, Erik Paulsen. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar took a break from the Judiciary Committee’s hearing on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court to participate, as well. Happily, the Joint Economic Committee’s hearing exhibited a more appropriate level of decorum than prevailed in the Judiciary Committee:
