Special Lunch Forum with Candace Owens My Journey to Conservatism Tuesday, May 8th Noon – 1:15 p.m. (free for students & chaperones) SELLOUT EXPECTED Mpls. Marriott City Center 30 South 7th St. Downtown Mpls., 55402 |
Candace Owens is the Director of Urban Engagement for Turning Point USA. She considers its mission critical to win back Universities, which have become a breeding ground for indoctrination. She exploded onto the scene in the summer of 2017, gaining notoriety through her political vlog series. Owens worked 4 years at a private equity firm in Manhattan, graduated from the University of Rhode Island, and took executive training courses from the NYU School of Business. She is a contributing writer for the Federalist.com, and is enthusiastic about inspiring tough conversations today that will effect positive changes for tomorrow and bring a message of empowerment to the black community.
Here is the video that put her on the map:
Owens uses a theme from the movie The Matrix to urge young people to “take the red pill” and become a conservative like her and she has even had the courage to take on the Black Lives Matter movement.
Last Saturday morning Kanye West tweeted his approval of Candace:
I love the way Candace Owens thinks

Predictably, this caused the left to go insane but Kanye didn’t back down. See John Hinderaker’s posts here and here for a full analysis but Kanye’s tweets included these two:
Constantly bringing up the past keeps you stuck there
— ye (@kanyewest) April 22, 2018
there was a time when slavery was the trend and apparently that time is still upon us. But now it's a mentality.
— ye (@kanyewest) April 22, 2018
And as expected, Candace isn’t taking the smears directed at her sitting down:
Kanye West tweets 7 words and leftists rush to smear me as far-right & anti-LGBT. So what terrified them?
The truth did. The left is losing control of their blacks. Ready to be awakened? Watch the truth about my journey off the plantation w/ @RubinReport. https://t.co/YviWe4PQk0 pic.twitter.com/GcN35gBoIa— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) April 21, 2018
And you won’t want to miss this video of Candace in action shutting down some BLM protesters:
Black Lives Matter protesters showed up to my @UCLA event to protest. Here is a video clip of me smacking them down with the truth; they’re a bunch of whiny toddlers, pretending to be oppressed for attention. pic.twitter.com/riBA0A3J1I

And the latest is that Chance the Rapper even entered the fray with this tweet:
Black people don’t have to be democrats.
